Graña Y Montero Announces Adjudication of Chavimochic Irrigation Project

Graña y Montero S.A.A. (“Graña y Montero”, “G&M” or the “Company”), the largest engineering and construction company in Peru, announced that the Consortium Río Santa - Chavimochic, formed by Graña y Montero S.A.A, Odebrecht Participacoes e Investimentos S.A and Constructora Norberto Odebrecht S.A, has been awarded the concession for the maintenance and operation of the first, second and third phase of the Chavimochic project, as well as for the design and construction of the third phase of the hydraulic works.

The works and irrigable lands of the Chavimochic project are located in La Libertad region, in the provinces of Viru, Trujillo and Ascope. This infrastructure project will incorporate 63,000 hectares for modern agriculture and will improve the irrigation of 47,000 hectares in northern Peru.

The estimated investment will be of USD 700 million, and the concession period will be of 25 years.
