BALTIMORE, Feb. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Constellation Energy (NYSE:CEG) today announced that Sigval Berg has joined the company's nuclear development organization, UniStar Nuclear, as senior vice president of infrastructure development. Berg, a global nuclear expert, will oversee UniStar Nuclear's interactions with staff support functions such as customer marketing, human resources, procurement and training. He will be responsible for establishing key processes, administrative procedures and protocols to further strengthen the linkage to the emerging global fleet of evolutionary power reactors. He also will focus on planning the human resource needs associated with the construction and operations phase for new nuclear. Berg most recently served as executive vice president of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) in Atlanta, where he led the evaluation and assistance programs. Prior to that, he served as managing director of the World Association of Nuclear Operators in London. Berg joined INPO in 1994 after three years of senior nuclear leadership at Commonwealth Edison in Chicago. A 1968 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he served in the U.S. Navy's nuclear program until 1981. In November 1998, Berg completed Harvard Business School's advanced management program.
