Dunkin' Donuts Opens Retail Presence in Monaca, Pennsylvania Wal-Mart Store Famous Brand Names Join Forces to Open Store-Within-a-Store Concept RANDOLPH, Mass., July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Wal-Mart and Dunkin' Donuts, the world's largest coffee-and-baked goods chain, announced today the opening of a Dunkin' Donuts shop within the Wal-Mart store located in Monaca, Pennsylvania on Route 18 in the Wal-Mart Plaza Shopping Center. This shop opening is the fifth under the Dunkin' Donuts and Wal-Mart agreement announced May 13, 2004. The brands announced plans to open more than ten stores in the next three months in Wal-Mart locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. Prominently positioned in each Wal-Mart, the in-store Dunkin' Donuts shops will look and feel just like a neighborhood Dunkin' Donuts store. The menu will also include lattes, cappuccinos, breakfast sandwiches, donuts, and other baked goods. Shoppers and Wal-Mart associates will be able to take a break in a comfortable restaurant environment. This new Dunkin' Donuts is owned and operated by Jeff Gentile. The next in-store shops will open in Salem, Massachusetts and Naugatuck, Connecticut within the next few months.
