Students to Learn About 'Cyber Bullying' and Steps to Create a Safe and Secure Online Experience at Feb. 1 Event

NORTHAMPTON, Mass., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Internet safety experts
will teach middle school students in Northampton steps they can
take to have a safe and secure online experience and address issues
such "cyber bullying" through i-SAFE education and awareness
programs. The event, to be held Monday (Feb. 1), kicks off a week
of 12 Internet safety seminars at schools in western Massachusetts.

BACKGROUND: The event kicks off a week of 12 Internet safety events
at schools in western Massachusetts. Verizon and i-SAFE, the leader
in online safety education, have teamed up to hold this Cyber
Safety Week, from Feb. 1-5. The sessions, funded by a $45,000 grant
from the Verizon Foundation, will take place in Northampton,
Pittsfield, North Adams, Northfield and West Springfield.
