Western Media Adds Real-Time Streaming Video Broadcast System to
Its MedlinkVPN ISLANDIA, N.Y., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Western Media Group Corporation (BULLETIN BOARD: WMGC) announced
today that it has entered into an agreement with Film & Music
Entertainment, Inc. , a provider of streaming video technology that
loads its targeted content without the need for buffering. Under
the terms of the licensing agreement Western Media will own the
exclusive right to use Film & Music's FELIX streaming video
system, a LINUX based technology, on its MedlinkVPN, for the
transmission of medical oriented content, including video
conferencing, medical procedures and hospital / practice
announcements. The FELIX system is designed to transmit video and
other large media files without the delays associated with video
buffering. The agreement also allows Western Media to brand the
FELIX system for additional uses beyond the MedlinkVPN, targeted at
the medical community across the United States. Western Media plans
to explore additional uses including continuing medical education
and providing customized and targeted healthcare information. The
FELIX video streaming system will debut on the MedlinkVPN system at
Long Island-based New Island Hospital and will be incorporated as a
basic service for other hospitals in New York State and through
Medlink West, its Los Angeles-based affiliate that made its October
debut at the Latin Business Association Expo. FORWARD LOOKING
