SoC Summit – The Conference on Next Generation SoC Design – Taking Place July 27th at Westin Taipei

The SoC Summit, the conference series detailing next generation SoC Design methodologies, premiers in Taiwan on Tuesday July 27th at the Westin Taipei. Long-time media partner Digitimes is predicting an audience of as many as 400 to attend, drawn by a stellar morning plenary session. Leading off the program is Dr. Alex Shubat, president and CEO of Virage Logic Corp. Dr. Shubat is joined by Sir Robin Saxby, founder and CEO of ARM Ltd. retired; Dr. Shauh-Teh Juang, senior director, design infrastructure marketing at TSMC and Dr. Charles Hsu, Chairman eMemory Technology Inc.

The conference will inform SoC designers of the new requirements confronting them in the nanometer process technology era: the need for early access to next generation process technology to meet a tight time-to-market window and the need for tools and libraries that ensure right-the-first-time process design kits (PDKs). An expected audience of 400 attendees will hear the morning program and attend one of three breakout tracks in the afternoon: Multifunction Smart Devices, Evolving SoCs On-Chip Communications, and Achieving 28nm Success. About the SoC Summit

When Virage Logic acquired ARC International in November 2009, it took over a conference series ARC began in 2006 called ConfigCon, which ran each year in partnership with Digitimes in Taiwan and in Shanghai. Each event attracted an audience of nearly 400 attendees. The conference was also produced in Israel and Silicon Valley with comparable attendance.
