STEC Joins TSANet to Enhance Multi-Vendor Enterprise Customer Support Network
September 25 2012 - 9:00AM
STEC, Inc. (Nasdaq:STEC), a leading global provider of solid-state
drive (SSD) technologies and products, today announced that it has
joined the Technical Support Alliance Network (TSANet), the IT
industry's only operational, technical global infrastructure.
TSANet's objective is to fast-track multi-vendor support
collaboration. STEC brings a wealth of knowledge in
enterprise-class SSD technologies to the TSANet community, further
extending the breadth of customer support offered to enterprises.
"The requirements for support collaboration are rapidly evolving
as data centers increase in complexity with the implementation of
virtualization and cloud computing," said Jim Ting, STEC vice
president of product marketing. "Joining TSANet helps assure STEC
customers can rely on rapid resolution to any issue, no matter if
the call comes in to STEC or to one of TSANet's many valued member
companies. This is an important step for STEC as we extend our
reach further into the enterprise customer base and target
end-users directly."
"We welcome STEC to the TSANet community and look forward to the
company's contributions," said Dennis Smeltzer, president of
TSANet. "STEC is representative of the breadth and depth of the
growing TSANet community, and is an important addition for
extending our mission of better enterprise customer support deeper
into the data center."
Established in 1993 by technology companies, TSANet is a
worldwide, vendor-neutral infrastructure that operationalizes
multi-vendor collaboration involving complex interoperability
issues. Using the TSANet process, members agree to
collaborate when a multi-vendor problem exists. STEC is
a leading provider of support for enterprise customers, and by
joining TSANet, STEC extends this commitment of providing a high
level of support across the TSANet community for the benefit all
members.
