WorldPerks members earn double miles and double 'Elite' qualifying miles EAGAN, Minn., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Northwest Airlines (NASDAQ:NWAC) today announced that it has fully matched a United Airlines offer that awards travelers with double the normal amount of miles accrued for flights and double the normal amount of miles that are counted toward achieving "Elite" status in Northwest's WorldPerks frequent flyer program. After flying 75,000 miles in a calendar year or 100 segments, customers earn the coveted Platinum Elite status.
