NetScreen IDP Solution NSS-Approved SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NetScreen Technologies, Inc. today announced that the NetScreen IDP-500 intrusion prevention and detection (IDP) system has achieved the recognized "NSS Approved" certification. The NetScreen IDP-500 product, with the recently announced version 3.0 of the IDP operating software, (see related release issued today: NetScreen Delivers First IDP Solution to Integrate Application and Network Profiling and Attack Investigation Capabilities) received the NSS certification after a rigorous and comprehensive testing evaluation of performance, reliability, security effectiveness and usability. "Our tests verified that the NetScreen IDP-500 demonstrates high levels of intrusion detection and prevention capabilities," said Bob Walder, director of the NSS Group.
