INX Inc. has been named one of the Top Workplaces by the Houston
Chronicle. The esteemed section, Top Workplaces, was published
Sunday, November 7, 2010.
Produced by the same team as that of Chron 100 which reports the
best-performing public and private companies headquartered in the
Houston area, Top 100 Workplaces recognizes businesses nominated by
their own employees and based on employee opinions about company
leadership, compensation and training, career development,
family-friendly flexibility, and values and ethics. Private,
nonprofits and publicly-held businesses were included in the
analysis.
The rankings in Top Workplaces are based on survey information
collected by Workplace Dynamics, an independent company
specializing in employee engagement and retention, from 118,555
employees at 188 companies.
INX was ranked 17th on the small company’s list.
Mark Hilz, President and CEO of INX, said, “This is a
significant recognition. Being rated by your own employees as
somewhere they want to be says a lot about our organization. This
is a tribute to INX’s culture and the people that create it.”
The publisher of the Houston Chronicle, Jack Sweeney, stated,
“The Chronicle is very proud to introduce our first Top Workplaces
section in recognizing these outstanding Houston area companies.
What better rating system than one in which the employees do the
rating. We’re planning on making this informative section a major
initiative each year.”
To qualify for the Houston Chronicle’s Top Workplaces, a company
must have more than 50 employees in the Houston area. 1,352
companies were invited to participate. Rankings were composite
scores calculated purely on the basis of employee responses.
