Integral Systems' Wholly-owned Subsidiary, Newpoint Technologies, Awarded Multiple Government and Commercial Contracts Valued at
May 10 2011 - 8:35AM
Integral Systems, Inc., (Nasdaq:ISYS) announced today that that its
wholly-owned subsidiary, Newpoint Technologies, has been awarded
$1.9 million through multiple contracts from the U.S. Government,
international military, commercial satellite operators and service
providers in the Company's second quarter, Fiscal Year (FY) 2011,
which ended on April 1, 2011. Under the terms of the contracts,
Newpoint Technologies will provide its award winning COMPASS
Network Management System (NMS) to manage critical network assets
and services, and its Mercury Remote Site Manager (RSM) for
intelligent automated management of unmanned remote sites.
The contract awards demonstrate Newpoint Technologies'
successful focus on expanding its global footprint. An example of
recent deals includes:
- A contract in Singapore to provide COMPASS NMS for equipment
management of a large government teleport. COMPASS Service Manager
will also handle services running through the teleport and allow
the customer to quickly apply profiles for equipment service.
COMPASS NMS will enable the rapid deployment and removal of network
services.
- A new award providing n2 with COMPASS NMS to a major radio
broadcaster remotely managing 75 satellite radio transmitter sites.
n2 with COMPASS gives network operators the ability to monitor,
manage and recover remote site equipment, thereby reducing network
management costs and increasing network availability and
reliability.
- Providing the U.S. Government with Integral Systems' Monics®
Carrier Monitoring and Radio Frequency (RF) Interference Detection
system to monitor, analyze and detect RF interference from 14
sensor sites.
In addition to the contract awards in the second quarter of FY
2011, Newpoint Technologies has expanded the COMPASS/Monics
interface. COMPASS Service Manager with Monics gives operators the
ability to better manage Service Level Agreements (SLA) and
critical services, prioritize service recovery and increase Quality
of Service (QoS) through enhanced network awareness. This
integration has resulted in multiple contracts with large military
and broadcast providers over the past six months.
