cycling event has donated $115,000 to
the Boulder Community Health Center for Integrative Care and
$50,000 to the George Karl
Foundation. The donations were made February
16, 2016 during a special event at the Boulder headquarters of Celestial Seasonings,
Inc. The funds were raised in August
2015 at the 5th annual Celestial Seasonings® B
Strong Ride presented by Subaru through corporate sponsorship,
rider registration fees and contributions in support of individual
riders.

check for $115,000 from B Strong Ride
to Boulder Community Health Center for Integrative Care. "We're

2016 ride in August."

The Boulder Community Health Center for Integrative Care
provides a wide range of services to cancer patients including
acupuncture, manual lymph drainage, massage therapy and
reflexology, Reiki and Healing Touch Massage, and wellness and
integrative care consultation. These services improve clinical
outcomes by enhancing wound healing, shortening hospital stays, and
reducing pain medication needs, as well as lowering patient stress
and anxiety.
B Strong Ride's donation of $50,000 to the George Karl Foundation was
presented by Dominic Scrivner,
General Manager of Mike Shaw
Subaru. "I've been down this road twice," said NBA
head coach George Karl, a two-time
cancer survivor who accepted the check on behalf of the George Karl
Foundation. "I can tell you the services we support through
our partner organizations make an enormous difference in the lives
of cancer patients and their families."
