Item 5.02 Election of Directors

On October 27, 2022, the Board of Directors of the First of Long Island Corporation (the “Company”) elected Edward J. Haye to the Board of Directors of the Company and of its wholly owned subsidiary, The First National Bank of Long Island. Mr. Haye is Chief Regulatory Counsel for American Water Works Company, Inc., the largest publicly traded water and wastewater utility company in the United States. Mr. Haye’s service on both boards is effective November 15, 2022. No determination has been made at this time as to Mr. Haye’s service on Board committees. A press release relating to the election of Mr. Haye is attached as an exhibit to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
