Deltek (Nasdaq: PROJ) today announced that Norwegian research
foundation Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center (NERSC)
has implemented the Deltek Maconomy® enterprise solution to better
control its budget and cost, enhance its project management and
resource planning processes and optimize visibility across its
entire organization.
NERSC is an independent, non-profit climate and environmental
research foundation affiliated with the University of Bergen,
Norway. NERSC conducts basic and applied environmental and climate
research comprising of, amongst others, arctic and marine studies,
ocean modeling and studies on the socio-economic impact of global
change.
The foundation was looking for a robust financial management and
project management system that would deliver visibility into the
status of all its projects at the same time in one integrated
solution. Deltek Maconomy best fits NERSC’s needs because it is
tailor-made for project-focused organizations and is a
fully-integrated solution that improves overall project performance
and profitability.
NERSC is using Deltek Maconomy to streamline its
funding-process, improve project accounting and better automate its
financial management processes. The Foundation now has much greater
visibility and control over its project management processes and is
better able to monitor budgets throughout its organization. NERSC
is also using Deltek Maconomy Business Performance Management to
gain complete insight into its overall performance through
extensive reporting, dashboards and ad-hoc analysis.
“When searching for an enterprise system, it was important for
us to get a powerful project administration solution that would
allow us to get full visibility into our many research projects and
our costs, all in one view,” says Caroline Hordvik, Director of
Finance and Administration, NERSC. “Deltek’s focused knowledge and
understanding of our industry and our challenges made them the
perfect partner to work with. With our implementation complete,
Deltek Maconomy is delivering what we need, and we have already
enhanced both our time and expense registration and our resource
and project planning. In addition, we now have cutting-edge
reporting capabilities to gain deeper insight into the performance
of our organization.”
“We are very pleased that NERSC has implemented Deltek Maconomy
to improve its core business processes,” says Martin Flatsetø,
Managing Director, Deltek Norway. “We have an unmatched solution
portfolio within the research sector, and our success with NERSC
clearly demonstrates our continued growth in this sector in Norway.
We are looking forward to continuously helping NERSC achieve even
better visibility into its many important projects as the
Foundation improves its project management and resource planning
processes.”
