Bancorp Rhode Island, Inc. (NASDAQ: BARI), the parent company of
Bank Rhode Island, has been named to the 2010 Sandler O’Neill
Sm-All Stars, a list of the 32 top performing small-cap banks and
thrifts in the nation. All 503 publicly-traded banks and thrifts
with a market capitalization of less than $2 billion and greater
than $100 million were included in the evaluation. Sandler’s
objective was to identify the small cap depository institutions
that stand out from the pack. Its proprietary analysis focused on
the areas of growth, profitability, credit quality and capital
strength.
Bancorp Rhode Island, Inc. is the only Rhode Island company to
have made the list.
