--Italian energy group Edison SpA (EDNR.MI), which is 99% owned by Electricite de France SA (EDF.FR), is preparing to sell its oil-and-gas unit, Reuters reports, citing unnamed sources.

--Edison has selected Rothschild & Co. (ROTH.FR) and Perella Weinberg to organize the sale, which could fetch between $2 billion and $3 billion, according to Reuters.
