Nuno Amado, the current chairman of Portugal's Santander Totta, will likely replace the chief executive officer at Banco Comercial Portugues SA (BCP.LB), Carlos Santos Ferreira, reports Diario Economico in its Friday Internet edition.

Santander Totta is the Portuguese unit of Banco Santander SA (STD, SAN.MC).

Diario Economico reported Thursday that the bank would carry out governance changes, drop its dual board system, and that Santos Ferreira would likely leave his post at the helm of the bank at the end of February.
