International Absorbents Completes New Westcoast Manufacturing Facility Grand Opening Slated for November 12, 2003 BELLINGHAM, Wash., Nov. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- International Absorbents Inc. , a leading developer and producer of environmentally friendly pet care and industrial products, today announced that it has completed construction of its new 15 acre complex in Northwest Washington State. All administrative services, warehousing, and several manufacturing lines have now been consolidated into the new facility. This is the first phase in the Company's three-phase expansion plan, undertaken to accommodate continued growth. As a result of the move, the Company's marketing and sales, customer service, logistics, accounting and IT departments are now co-located at the new complex. The Company is presently renting four less locations than it was a few months ago resulting in a reduction of rent payments over $400,000 per year. Significant benefits in communications, operational costs and synergistic resource utilization will strengthen the Company. The second phase, construction of a second production facility in Jesup, GA, is just starting.
