MPC Will Bundle SyAM Software's Management Software With Servers, Desktop PCs and Notebook PCs NAMPA, Idaho, Sept. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- MPC Computers, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HyperSpace Communications, Inc. (AMEX:HCO), today announced a technology partnership with SyAM Software, Inc. As a part of this agreement, MPC will bundle SyAM Software's management software on its servers, desktop PCs and notebook PCs shipped in the USA. MPC will re-brand the software as "MPC Active Management Suite." For desktop PCs, MPC Active Management Suite will support Intel(R) vPro(TM) technology announced by Intel Corporation on September 7. This management software allows IT administrators to easily manage networks of PCs and servers, reducing downtime and increasing productivity. Active Management Suite enables IT managers to monitor the status of servers and PCs on the network, including such vital signs as temperature, voltages and remaining storage capacity. Furthermore, the software can be configured to alert the IT administrator when preset thresholds are exceeded, warning about potential component failures. MPC is offering the Active Management Suite software on its PCs and servers using Intel processors and motherboards. The software is designed to work with Intel vPro Technology and Intel(R) Active Management Technology to further enhance the manageability of systems on the network.
