Santiago, Chile. October 24, 2018.-
Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. (SQM) (NYSE: SQM; Santiago Stock Exchange: SQM-B, SQM-A) informs that today
SQM’s Board of Directors requested that CEO of SQM, Mr. Patricio de Solminihac Tampier´s resignation become effective
on January 7, 2019 instead of December 31, 2018, as was previously announced. This change is to insure a smooth transition.
Consequently, the Board of directors agreed
that the nomination of Mr. Ricardo Ramos as CEO become effective on January 8, 2019.
