AAFES will deploy the Symbol MC9090 rugged mobile computer to improve the management of merchandise across its retail locations with inventory management, price verification, and shipping and receiving applications. The VC5090 mobile computers will be used during picking and packing for automated and accurate inventory tracking, and will help streamline shipping and receiving processes. AAFES also selected Symbol's Service from the Start Gold program which provides enhanced product support and extends coverage beyond normal wear and tear to include the repair of accidentally damaged components such as screens, keypads, and plastics. This comprehensive coverage virtually eliminates surprise repair costs and provides investment protection and reduces the total cost of ownership.
