Growth reflects continued demand by Internet and mobile users for genuinely
up-to-date football news on a team-by-team basis. Since demerger, the Company
has:
*Launched its rugby league and rugby union service. It is the only web site
offering full coverage of both codes of rugby, providing fans with original
news on each club in the Tetley Super League and the Allied Dunbar Premier
League; and
*Launched its sports information services for BT Cellnet. The Company is the
only provider of sports information to INFOtouch, BT Cellnet's instant
mobile information service, and G-Infotext, its WAP text messaging service.
Both services are supported by BT Cellnet's marketing campaign.
Bill Wilson, Chief Executive, commented today:
"This rapid growth in users in all areas reinforces our belief that quality
content on a team-by-team basis is what sports fans are looking for. Our
strong content is also driving the B2B licensing of our content to other
Internet sites and mobile providers. EURO 2000 will, also, provide us with
opportunities to develop our business further, both for our own services as
well as on behalf of our B2B customers."

Notes to Editors:
Teamtalk.com consists of two divisions, the Sports Division and the B2B
Division.
Sports Division
The Sports Division, is a leading UK based provider of original sports content
for delivery to customers via the Internet, mobile and premium rate fixed line
telephone networks and satellite. The Sports Division has been originating and
delivering content since 1988. It launched its soccer Internet site,
www.teamtalk.com, in October 1997 and it now has one of the largest user bases
amongst UK web sites.
B2B Division
The B2B Division provides multi-lingual news and weather information and
Internet and e-mail services via satellite to maritime and hotel customers. It
is the clear market leader in the provision of subscription news services to
the cruise liner market and one of the leading global providers to the cargo
shipping market.
Definitions for user statistics:
1. Teamtalk.com defines the number of Internet users as the number of people
who visit one of Teamtalk.com's web-sites during a month, the number of
mobile users as the number of people who receive SMS messages during a
month, and the number of fixed line users as the number of people who
telephone one of Teamtalk.com's audiotext telephone services during a
month. If a person uses the same Teamtalk.com service (a "service" is any
web-site, SMS or audiotext product) more than once in a month they are
counted only once as a user. If, however, that person uses more than one
Teamtalk.com service during that month, they are counted as a user once
for each service used.
2. Teamtalk.com defines the number of Internet visits in a month as the
number of times that one of Teamtalk.com's web-sites is used (each team to
be counted separately). If an Internet user leaves one of the web-sites
and returns more than 30 minutes later the return visit is counted as a
separate Internet visit. Each SMS message sent represents a separate
message. Each incoming call to Teamtalk.com's audiotext telephone
services represents a separate fixed line call.
3. Teamtalk.com defines page impressions as the number of HTML (Hypertext
Markup Language) page requests to a web service by a web browser to
provide a HTML page (ie exclusive of graphic images).
4. Teamtalk.com defines the number of combined users as the total number of
people using its Internet, mobile and fixed line serviced during a month
and the combined visits as the total number of Internet visits, mobile
messages and fixed line calls during a month.
5. Teamtalk.com's non-financial operating data presented in the table above
should be read in the light of the following factors, which influence the
compilation of such data:
Teamtalk.com currently uses cookies to identify web site users.
Teamtalk.com began using cookies in February 2000;
Some Internet users will have security or Internet efficiency measures
which will mean that Teamtalk.com will only be able to identify one
Internet user when in fact several Internet users have accessed
Teamtalk.com's web-sites from the same location;
Some ISPs allocate identification addresses to their Internet users in
such a way that either several Internet users accessing Teamtalk.com's
web-sites via that service provide will be identified as a single
Internet user, or a single Internet user who logs in via that service
provider several times in the same day will be counted as a different
Internet user each time;
Teamtalk.com relies on a third party for identification of mobile users
and individual messages accessed by mobile users of its SMS services;
Teamtalk.com relies on a third party for identification of fixed line
users and calls for its audiotext services;
Fixed line users of Teamtalk.com's telephone services who call from the
same switchboard number cannot be identified as separate fixed line
users;
The third party uses call line identification technology to track
incoming calls and consequently if a fixed line user calls from more that
one telephone they will be recorded more than once as a fixed line user;
and
If a fixed line user elects to withhold his number, the third party will
not be able to identify whether that caller is a user of its service and
so any such calls are excluded from the data above.
