The Company was notified on 15 May 2006 by The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.("GS
Inc") that, as at the close of business on 11 May 2006, GS Inc was interested,
by attribution only, in 9,989,790 ordinary shares of 5p each ("Ordinary Shares")
representing 6.00 per cent. of the Company's issued Ordinary Share capital. The
above interest arises from a beneficial interest held by Goldman Sachs
International, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of GS Inc.
