                      HgCapital Trust plc (the "Company") 
 
           Blocklisting application and Subscription share exercise 
 
 
The Company announces that a block listing application has been made in respect 
of 6,220,783 Ordinary shares for admission to the Official List and to the 
London Stock Exchange for such shares to be admitted for trading on its main 
market. The application has been made in respect of the total number of 
Ordinary shares that may be issued pursuant to the exercise of Subscription 
share rights. 
 
In relation to the 31 May 2011 subscription date, the Company announces that it 
has issued 695,810 Ordinary shares following the exercise of subscription 
rights by a number of Subscription shareholders. The Ordinary shares issued 
will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary shares and will commence 
trading on 15 June 2011. 
 
Following this issue there will be 31,799,725 Ordinary shares of 25p each and 
5,524,973 Subscription shares of 1p each in issue in the capital of the 
Company.
