Valero Reports Excessive Emissions at Texas City Refinery

Valero Energy Corp. on Friday reported excessive gas emissions
at its refinery in Texas City, Texas.
In a statement to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality,
the refinery said the emissions of some 5,600 pounds of sulfur
dioxide began on Thursday morning and ended Friday morning, lasting
about 24 hours.
The 225,000-barrel-a-day Texas City refinery is located 40 miles
southeast of Houston, on the Texas City Ship Channel.
