Valero Reports Operational Snag at McKee Refinery in Texas

Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) reported an operational snag and
flaring of gas emissions at its McKee refinery in the Texas
panhandle.
"The Valero McKee Refinery experienced an upset of the Flare Gas
Recovery System causing a malfunction of the Flare Gas Recovery
compressors which led to intermittent flaring," the refinery said
in a statement to the Texas Commission on Environmental
Quality.
The refinery said the emissions-flaring began Wednesday and
ended Thursday afternoon.
The nearly 200,000-barrel-a-day refinery is located in Sunray,
65 miles north of Amarillo.
