continued improvement in our network performance. Sprint had its

Customers are getting great download speeds across the country
from Honolulu, Hawaii, to
Providence, Rhode Island. And in
many cities the average download speeds are even more impressive –
Beverly Hills, CA at 43.51 Mbps;
Boulder, CO at 57.51 Mbps; Coeur
d'Alene, ID at 44.69 Mbps; Jackson,
NJ at 59.04 Mbps; and Reston,
VA at 47.2 Mbps to name a few. 1
These results are being driven by our Next-Gen Network strategy
and our largest network investment in years. Some key aspects
of our network build contributing to our improved performance
include:
- Triband Upgrades – As we upgrade more macro sites to use
all three of our spectrum bands (800 MHz, 1.9 GHz, and 2.5 GHz)
customers get our best network experience.
- Small Cells – We're rolling out more of our 2.5 GHz
spectrum for faster data speeds than before by adding more indoor
and outdoor small cells to our network. We have a fantastic variety
of flexible small cell solutions from Sprint Magic Box to mini
macros to strand mounts that are making an impact in customers'
homes, businesses and communities.
- LTE Advanced Technology – More and more Sprint customers
with capable devices are benefiting from faster data speeds than
before as we utilize some of the most advanced technologies in
wireless – High Performance User Equipment (HPUE), 256 QAM, 4X4
MIMO, multiple carrier aggregation and more. We've also begun to
deploy Massive MIMO technology, which is adding significant
capacity to our 4G network and is a key bridge to Sprint 5G service
launching in the first half of 2019.
Our Next-Gen Network build is unlocking our deep 2.5 GHz
spectrum holdings, and we're excited to provide millions of
customers across the country with an even better experience than
before on a network that's built for unlimited. The investment
we're making is delivering better coverage, reliability and speed,
and it's building a strong LTE Advanced foundation for our launch
of mobile 5G next year.
