"We're excited about our expansion in Indianapolis," said Dennis L.
Bassett, CEO of Bank One Indiana. "This market continues to be an
important growth market for Bank One and we believe deserves the
additional investment." Six New Banking Centers in 2004 Bank One is
spending more than $12 million to build six new banking centers in
the Indianapolis area: -- 5701 Castle Creek Parkway, North Drive,
Castleton, opened March 29 (replacing an older facility nearby) --
1000 E. Main St., Brownsburg, opening April 26 (replacing an older
facility nearby) -- 10495 N. Michigan Road, Carmel, estimated
opening in July -- 14195 Mundy Dr., Noblesville, estimated opening
in August -- 135 Fields Crossing Drive, Mooresville, estimated
opening in June -- 9820 East 116th St., Fishers, estimated opening
late 2004 The banking centers feature a new layout designed to
reduce customer wait times. It features teller stations for
conducting banking transactions. Individual offices adjacent to the
customer transaction area provide a more private space for
relationship bankers to conduct detailed financial discussions with
customers. The officesalso have a separate merchant counter for
commercial customers. "We surveyed our customers when developing
this new design, so the changes employ many of their suggestions,"
said Jim Brocklehurst, Bank One's Retail Manager for Central
Indiana. "The new design is fresh and open and should save our
customers time when conducting their banking transactions." A Fresh
Look for Banking Centers Bank One's 89 offices in Central Indiana
are undergoing a makeover, with most receiving new paint, carpet,
wallpaper, and signage. The "spruce-up" is part of a two-year
national effort by Bank One to improve its existing offices. Bank
One is spending about $3.5 million on the makeover in Indiana, $2.5
million in the Indianapolis area. The new look was designed by an
Indianapolis firm, Bradley and Montgomery. Upgrading ATMs Bank One
will spend $2.65 million to replace 87 ATMs in Indiana in 2004,
including $1.33 million for 45 in the Indianapolis area. The
replacement program is part of a broader initiative begun last year
to replace Bank One's total ATM network nationally. In 2003, Bank
One replaced 90 ATMs in Indiana. In total, Bank One will spend more
than $5,756,000 in Indiana upgrading ATMs by the end of 2004. All
the new machines feature: -- Easy-to-use touch screens; -- Enlarged
screens with full-color graphics; -- Voice prompts for the visually
impaired; and -- Web capability that will enable easy addition of
new functions Expanded Hours for Customer Convenience In addition
toopening new banking centers, Bank One will expanded its banking
