Bank One Adding 120 Jobs in Louisville 100 at Payment Processing Facility, 20 in Branches LOUISVILLE, Ken., Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Bank One announced today that it plans to add 120 jobs in the Louisville area by early next year: 100 in payment processing and 20 relationship banker positions at its branches. "We have had tremendous success in hiring good workers in Louisville, so it has become a major processing center for us," said Todd Munson, president of Bank One in Kentucky. The 100 new processing workers will join the 750 currently employed at the facility on Grade Lane. Bank One has 1,700 employees in Louisville, and nearly 3,000 in Kentucky. The new processing center jobs pay $8 to $9 an hour, and are available on second and third shifts with some weekend work required. The relationship banker positions pay substantially more and require sales experience. By the end of 2003, Bank One will have processed more than 1.1 billion payments in Louisville. The jobs are being added at the Retail Lockbox center, which will process 164 million payments this year, and is expected to process 202 million payments in 2004. As one of only three Bank One Lockbox facilities in the country, the Louisville Retail Lockbox processes payments for companies, including cable, telephone and mortgage providers, that generate more than 100,000 customer bills each month. The additional workers are needed to process new business as well as work being moved from other Bank One locations.
