Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. (MMI) will shed 800 jobs in order to save $31 million dollars, according to a regulatory filing reported Friday by Bloomberg News.

The company is trying to slim down as it prepares to be acquired by Google Inc. (GOOG), Bloomberg reported.
