KBR (NYSE: KBR) today announced it has been awarded a job order contract by TCPN (The Cooperative Purchasing Network) to provide construction management services for public entities throughout the entire state of Texas. The one year contract offers six option years for renewal. This award follows a similar contract with TCPN in 2009, for which KBR successfully performed services.

KBR will provide a full range of construction management services that will vary in size and scope and will include facilities repair, renovations and new construction for all public entities throughout the state. The job order contract is designed to provide a more responsive and cost-effective solution for public schools, colleges, universities, cities, counties, and other government or non-profit entities within the state of Texas. Work on the contract is expected to begin immediately.

"KBR has a long-standing reputation as an experienced contractor, and the award of the TCPN job order contract to KBR for the entire state of Texas is recognition of the exceptional level of service KBR provides its clients," said David Zimmerman, Group President, KBR Services. “This award provides KBR the opportunity to demonstrate our unwavering commitment to TCPN and its members throughout the state of Texas as a provider for construction management services.”
