KBR (NYSE:KBR) today announced that it has been notified by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) Supplier Relations Team that the recently issued MoD/KBR Performance Report for 2010 gives an overall score which exceeds that achieved by any other Company in the MoD’s latest published Consolidated Performance Report. This is the third time in four years that MoD has awarded the top score to KBR’s International Government & Defence business unit based in Leatherhead, UK.

The MoD assessed all of its key suppliers against 11 criteria: responsiveness, information exchange, management of suppliers/stakeholders, management of risk, management of people, quality of output, commercial management, innovation, quality of relationship and flexibility.

“KBR is very proud of this high scoring performance recognition which is extremely sought after by all of MoD’s major suppliers,” said Andrew Pringle, President KBR International Government & Defence. “We have worked very hard at delivering mission-critical projects on time and on budget, but I believe that the fact that we are always willing and able to deploy with the troops from their home bases right out to the forward operating bases in operational theatres makes a huge difference. Few companies do this and none on the scale that we do.”

KBR has over 3,000 people working in Afghanistan supporting British and NATO troops who are part of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) with essential support services. KBR provides a whole range of services, from managing airfields to catering and construction, from running water bottling plants to installing the latest X-ray computed tomography (CT) scanners into Bastion hospital and from delivering fuel supplies to constructing rocket proof shelters.

KBR is a global engineering, construction and services company supporting the energy, hydrocarbon, government services, minerals, civil infrastructure, power and industrial markets. For more information, visit www.kbr.com.
