Harris Corporation Awarded $1 Million Falcon(R) II Radio Contract By the French Ministry of Defence PARIS (Eurosatory booth C37), June 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), a leading supplier of secure, tactical radios for worldwide defense forces, today announced it has been awarded multiple Falcon II radio contracts valued at more than $1 million by the French Ministry of Defence. France, through its service program DGA/SPOTI has purchased AN/PRC-117F(C) radios to outfit its armed forces. These contracts mark France's first orders for AN/PRC-117F(C) radios. A member of Harris' successful Falcon II family of tactical radios, the AN/PRC-117F(C) is in widespread use by U.S. forces and U.S. allies in critical missions around the world. The AN/PRC-117F(C) multiband, multimission manpack radio uses advanced Harris software-defined radio (SDR) technology to provide battle-proven embedded COMSEC, SATCOM, and ECCM capabilities. It covers the entire 30 to 512 MHz frequency range, using two antenna ports for optimum range performance.
