Fidelity National Financial's Aptitude Solutions Forms Strategic Alliance With Mentis Technology to Support New Deed Recording Regulations JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Aptitude Solutions, a division of Fidelity National Financial, Inc. (NYSE:FNF) and leading provider of innovative technology solutions for county government, including online county recording and workflow management systems, tax deed filing systems, document management systems and court case document management systems, today announced the formation of a strategic alliance with Mentis Technology, LLC, a premier developer of image and character analysis and identification technology. By incorporating Mentis Technology's aiINDEX application within their OnCore recording software system, Aptitude Solutions will be able to provide county recorders with OCR (Optical Character Recognition), giving them the ability to automatically index their documents without human intervention. In addition, OnCore will also be able to assist county recorders with redacting or removing sensitive information, such as social security numbers, from their public image library. With the addition of automated indexing and redacting technology, OnCore users can be assured that they are in compliance with legislative mandates requiring the exclusion of specific personal information from public documents. For example, one of Florida's 2004 statutes mandates that, by January 2006, county recorders must keep social security numbers confidential and exempt as provided in Florida Statute 119.0271 (details at http://www.flsenate.gov/ ). "We are very excited about our alliance with Aptitude Solutions and the ability to make aiINDEX available through OnCore," said Ann Kirkbride, Director of National Accounts at Mentis Technology Solutions. "This was an ideal opportunity for us to provide our automated indexing and redacting technology to county government directly through their recording system, helping these busy offices improve their efficiencies and increase overall productivity," said Kirkbride. "With state mandates that will soon require the redacting of recorded documents, county recorders have been anxious to find a reliable, efficient means of compliance," said Jordan Chionchio, Executive Vice President of Aptitude Solutions. "Our alliance with Mentis Technology further demonstrates our commitment to providing county government with industry-leading technology to meet their evolving needs," said Chionchio.
