Eni SpA's (ENI.MI) environmental company Syndial and Veritas,
the multiutility of metropolitan Venice, Italy, have signed an
agreement to build a plant that will convert the organic fraction
of solid municipal waste into bio oil and bio methane.
Under the agreement, which covers the construction and
management of the plant, Syndial will build and manage the plant
while Veritas will provide at least 100,000 tons of waste.
The parties forecast an investment of roughly 60 million euros
($68.3 million) for the plant, which will be built in Venice's
