Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation (NYSE:ETN) today announced it has acquired the assets of C.I. ESI de Colombia S.A. (ESI). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Based in Bogota, Colombia, ESI is a value added reseller of industrial electrical equipment and engineering services in the Colombian market focused on oil and gas, mining and industrial and commercial construction. The company had sales of approximately $8 million in 2010.

“ESI is an established organization with strong relationships with electrical OEMs and distributors in Colombia,” said Rich Stinson, Eaton’s president, Power Distribution, Electrical Sector for the Americas Region. “This acquisition will help grow Eaton’s presence in Colombia and serve as a platform for future growth in the region.”
