Receiving holiday gifts is not quite over for Banquet shoppers! OMAHA, Neb., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Banquet, a brand of ConAgra Foods (NYSE:CAG), announced today the kick-off of its "Thanks a Million" promotion for consumers. Beginning today and running through April 2010, more than 16,000 promotional Banquet single-serve dinners will contain redeemable cash prizes ranging in value from $10 to $100,000. The "Thanks a Million" promotion is designed to thank Banquet's loyal customers while also providing a little bit of financial relief. With the economy still struggling, families across the country continue to work hard to put food on the table and make grocery shopping stress-free and cost-effective. For example, Supermarket Guru Phil Lempert conducted a national survey that found that more than 60 percent of consumers have eaten more meals at home and 56 percent have bought less expensive brands - such as Banquet - during the prior six months. Seventeen different Banquet single-serve dinner meals are included in the promotion, with a "Thanks a Million" announcement on the front package to help consumers identify participating meals. Each package includes instructions on how to redeem any cash prize, which is provided in the form of a check. Non-winning packages include coupons so all consumers receive some form of "thanks" for participating in the promotion. The end-date of the promotion is subject to promotional product availability.
