UPDATE: Egypt GASC Buys 180,000 Tons Wheat for March 1-10 Delivery

Egypt's state-owned wheat buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities, said Tuesday it bought a total of 180,000 metric tons of Russian, Argentinian and French wheat for shipment March 1-10.

GASC bought 60,000 tons of Argentinian wheat for $226.00 a ton from Louis-Dreyfus et Cie, according to a GASC official. The authority also bought 60,000 tons of French wheat from Cargill Inc., for $240.50/ton and 60,000 tons of Russian wheat from Aston for $243.98/ton.

The following bids were made on Tuesday afternoon:

Nidera 60,000 tons of Russian or Kazakh wheat at $249.47/ton from one load port, freight on board.

Louis-Dreyfus et Cie 60,000 tons of Argentinian wheat at $226.17/ton from two load ports and 60,000 tons of French wheat at $247.44/ton from two load ports, and 60,000 tons of Russian wheat at $248.44/ton, and 60,000 tons of Russian, Kazakh or Ukrainian wheat at $248.64/ton.

Gavilon 55,000 tons soft winter wheat at $225.64/ton freight on board from Columbia River or $261.00/ton cnf.

Soufflet 60,000 tons of French wheat at $242.44/ton from two load ports.

Alegrow 60,000 tons of Russian wheat at $253.49/ton.

InVivo 60,000 tons of French wheat at $249.82/ton from two load ports.

Glencore International PLC (0805.HK) 60,000 tons of French wheat at $247.90/ton and 60,000 tons of Argentinian wheat at $230.90/ton both from two load ports.

Toepfer 60,000 tons of French wheat at $244.49/ton from two load ports.

NobleGrain 60,000 tons of Ukrainian wheat at $249.90/ton freight on board from Sevastopol and 60,000 tons of French wheat at $242.75/ton from two load ports.

Lecureur 60,000 tons of French wheat at $247.75/ton from two load ports.

Bunge Ltd. (BG) 60,000 tons of French wheat at $242.77/ton from one load port.

Aston 60,000 tons of Russian wheat at $243.98/ton.

Cargill Inc. 60,000 tons of French wheat at $240.50/ton from two load ports and 60,000 tons of Argentinian wheat at $228.50/ton freight on board upriver.

Granit 60,000 tons of French wheat at $243.39/ton from one load port.
