Thomas E. Riley, CPA, CPCU, CMA, CIC, Regional President and Chief Acquisitions Officer of Brown & Brown, Inc. (NYSE: BRO), today announced that Paul J. Zimmerman, CPCU, previously of Travelers Insurance Company, has been named Director of Acquisitions and will become part of the Company's Acquisitions Team. Effective immediately, Mr. Zimmerman will be responsible for assisting with the identification of acquisition opportunities for the Company and its subsidiaries throughout the United States.

Mr. Zimmerman's career spans almost forty years in the insurance industry. His background includes agency and relationship development work for Travelers Insurance Companies as well extensive agency management and acquisition experience.
