CHICAGO, May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Cars.com announced today a
webinar to discuss tactics and tools dealers can use to
competitively price and stock their inventory. The free workshop,
"The Price is Right," begins at noon
EDT on May 14.
Joining the expert panel discussion are: Pat Ryan Jr., of FirstLook; Dale Pollak, of vAuto; and Mike Waterman, of DealerTrack AAX. Also
participating are two top-performing dealers: Jim Flint, of John Eagle Family of Dealerships;
and Kevin Frye, of Jeff Wyler
Automotive Family. Jack Simmons, a
Cars.com dealer training manager, will moderate.
"Given today's intense focus on profitability, dealers must be
able to quickly turn their listings and maximize gross at every
opportunity," said Simmons. "Today's sophisticated tools help
dealers correctly price their inventory from the start and keep
pricing in line with the market across the sales cycle."
In this webinar, attendees will get advice on how to:
- Use market-based tools to set competitive prices for their
listings.
- Identify the in-demand cars that command a higher price and
turn quickly.
- Merchandise vehicles to demonstrate their value and hold
gross.
- Discuss price with customers and manage objections.
"While price plays an important role in the purchase decision,
customers also buy for other reasons," said Simmons. "Dealers who
fully merchandise the vehicle and sell the value of buying from
their store position themselves to win the deal."
