Peru's BBVA Banco Continental Says Receives $500 Million Loan

BBVA Banco Continental SA said that it has signed a loan
contract with Goldman Sachs Bank for $500 million.
Peru's second largest bank, BBVA Banco Continental told Peru's
securities regulatory agency late Thursday that it hadn't made any
bond placement in international markets.
A Lima-based newspaper ran a story Thursday saying the bank had
placed a bond issue.
Spain's Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA and Peru's Brescia
group together have a controlling stake in BBVA Banco
Continental.
