BBVA Names Domingo Armengol Secretary General Of Board

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BBVA) Wednesday said that
Domingo Armengol will become secretary general of the bank's board
of directors, replacing Jose Maldonado.
Maldonado, 57, is taking early retirement, but will remain on
the board as a non-executive member.
Armengol, a lawyer by training, has been director of
institutional advisory at BBVA and deputy secretary of the board
since 2000. He is 44.
BBVA, Spain's second-largest bank by assets, has made a series
of changes to its executive ranks in the last few months. In
September, it changed its chief executive as well as the heads of
human resources and services, innovation and technology and risk
management.
