Hydration wanted the bottle for its new product to have a unique,
high-impact look to differentiate WATERPLUS(R) from other enhanced
waters on the market. It turned to its packaging supplier and
Ball's outside PET sales arm, Zuckerman Honickman (ZH), King of
Prussia, Penn., for a solution, and ZH brought Healthy Hydration
and Ball together to develop the bottle. Healthy Hydration provided
the Ball packaging innovation team with concepts of the bottle it
envisioned for WATERPLUS(R) which included a sloped dome and
straight, slim cylinder. Ball quickly turned the Healthy Hydration
design into a functional bottle by incorporating a new,
patent-pending label panel into the design to achieve the desired
look. The 18-oz. bottle's label panel is longer than normal, adding
to its sleek appearance. Ball provided reinforcement in the label
panel in order to minimize the need for visible hoop rings and
other vacuum relief features. The bottles include an UV inhibitor
to protect any sensitive ingredients. "Ball has been a great
development partner," says Lance Collins, Healthy Hydration founder
and chief executive officer. "They were able to turn our idea into
a real, functional bottle very quickly. We now have an original,
best-in-class package that communicates the state-of-the-art health
benefits of WATERPLUS(R), which delivers the first-ever organic
flavor and sweetener system for a ready to drink enhanced water."
According to Healthy Hydration, WATERPLUS(R) Organic is a
state-of-the-art, natural and organic vitamin, antioxidant and
electrolyte enhanced water. It is available in five flavors,
Dragonfruit Kiwi, Orange Tangerine, Passionfruit Citrus, Acai Berry
and Fruit Punch. All flavors contain 50 calories per 8-oz. serving,
high antioxidant/vitamin levels, 100% RDA of vitamin C, 20% vitamin
E, 10% vitamin B complex and no artificial colors or sweeteners.
