Atmos Energy Corporation (NYSE: ATO) today launched a new online
winter Web site that brings valuable information together to help
consumers manage their heating costs. The site is called Manage
Your Energy Bills and can be found at
www.manageyourenergybills.com. The new site contains information on
conservation, billing, payment options and links to some of the
best resources available from public and private entities. This
information gives consumers more control over the amount of energy
they use this winter, as well as what they will pay for their
usage. Weather is always a wild card with heating bills, said Kim
Cocklin, Atmos Energy senior vice president of utility operations.
Even forecasted mild winters could turn into severe winters at the
whim of Mother Nature. Our new winter site will give consumers a
tool for controlling their energy usage which could lessen the
impact of higher energy prices. The new winter site also houses
the suite of online energy management tools recently launched by
Atmos Energy, including the home Energy Profile, Energy Calculator,
Energy Advisor, and the Energy Library. The Energy Profile analyzes
information provided by the consumer, and it then provides a
picture of where and how the consumer can save energy throughout
the home. The Energy Calculator enables the user to discover how
much energy a home appliance uses as well as its average cost to
operate. The winter site also links to the Energy Library which
houses in-depth material on gas and electric topics. Consumers can
receive prompt, personal, and confidential answers from Atmos
Energys own energy experts by sending their questions online to
the Energy Advisor. The new Atmos Energy winter Web site also
contains specific details on gas prices and demystifies the
information on the natural gas bill. About Atmos Energy Atmos
