DALLAS, Aug. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Ashford Hospitality
Trust, Inc. (NYSE: AHT) today reported that hurricane Irene has
minimally affected some of its properties in the Northeast.
The property damage sustained by these properties was minor
and as a result most of these facilities are back to normal
operations.
The Company estimates that it currently has approximately 210
rooms out of service and the combined physical damage and business
income loss to be less than $1.0
million in total. The properties are fully insured and
Ashford expects to recover most of its losses, with a minimal
charge to the Company.
