Dow Jones News
Spectra Energy Corp. (SE), American Electric Power Co. (AEP) and
Chesapeake Energy Corp. (CHK) said Wednesday they will team up to
build infrastructure to deliver oil and gas from the Utica and
Marcellus shales of Ohio to Texas and elsewhere in the U.S. The
project involves 70 miles of new pipeline and should create an
additional 1 billion cubic feet a day of transportation capacity to
serve local distribution companies, industrial users and gas-fired
power generators in the Ohio market, as well as markets along the
Texas Eastern system. The estimated cost of the Ohio Pipeline
Energy Network project was not disclosed.
