COLUMBUS, Ga., March 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Aflac Incorporated announced today that Ronald G. Agypt has been promoted to senior vice president, Aflac Broker Sales.

He served on the boards of directors of Sterling Life Insurance and the Legal Club of America.

About Agypt's promotion, Aflac Senior Vice President and Director of Sales Thomas R. Giddens commented: "Ron's experience within the broker arena has infused our broker initiative with leadership, opportunities, and results. As we continue to enhance our Aflac U.S. product portfolio with group products that complement our individual products, I believe our entire sales force, including brokers, will continue to benefit from more options, as will our customers. I congratulate Ron on this well-deserved promotion."
