Major U.S. Metropolitan Fire Department Implements Audiolog for Public Safety Solution from Verint

Business Wire
Verint® Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: VRNT) today
announced that one of the nation’s largest fire departments has
implemented its Audiolog™ for Public Safety software, part of the
company’s Impact 360® for Public Safety Powered by Audiolog
solution. Due to the organization’s initiative to replace its
legacy 9-1-1 equipment and update its call recording system, it
selected technology from Verint to help its large network of public
safety answering points (PSAPs) and emergency services centers
perform more efficiently, reduce liability and risk, comply with
industry standards and regulations, and deliver rapid, accurate and
quality responses to the metropolitan areas it serves. The Verint
solution not only offers the agency a superior recording, playback
and archiving solution, it also integrates seamlessly with the
organization’s existing infrastructure.
In order to serve a very large citizen population, the fire
department wanted to help ensure that its call recording solution
could accommodate current operations and scale as the agency’s
needs expand. As such, Audiolog’s reliability and high scalability
became a key deciding factor in the selection process. Other key
factors that led to the selection of Verint technology included
Audiolog’s overall solution design, particularly in terms of
redundancy, and Verint’s experience and track record with
large-scale customer deployments involving complex systems and
requirements.
The fire department now has the benefit of instant recall
capabilities and rapid, incident-based recording retrieval to
facilitate investigations and provide its first responders with the
information they need to act and respond to emergencies more
effectively. Its remote, multi-channel, live monitoring and
playback allow users to track events without having to be in the
same physical location. Further, Audiolog, which the agency
implemented in January 2011, helps organizations lower costs by
offering flexible storage capabilities, enabling large volumes of
calls and related data to be retained using industry-standard
storage technologies.
“As one of the largest agencies in the United States, we are
very pleased that this particular fire department selected Audiolog
for Public Safety,” shares Gary Trudo, vice president, public
safety and mid-market solutions, Verint Systems. “With thousands of
public safety customers around the world, Audiolog is a product of
choice for emergency dispatch facilities, homeland security
agencies, transportation network operations, correctional
facilities and a full range of public safety organizations.”
