December 20 2010 - 8:30AM
Business Wire
Verint® Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: VRNT) today
announced its Impact 360® for Public Safety Powered by Audiolog™
solution has passed interoperability testing with the OpenSky® R7
and P25 R6 Trunked Radio Systems from Harris Corporation, a leading
provider of advanced critical radio communication systems for
government and industry.
As part of the evaluation process, Verint validated its
compliance with the Department of Defense Information Assurance
guidance (DoD IA) and Security Update Management Service (SUMS)
distribution process. Verint’s public safety solution, which
successfully completed the rigorous test regimen in Harris’
security lab in December 2009, is designed to benefit organizations
leveraging the new generation of standards for mobile packet data
communications.
“We’re delighted to further extend the Verint platform to
support Harris’ DoD security standard and SUMS distribution
process,” says Gary Trudo, vice president, public safety solutions,
Verint Systems. “For our partners and customers, this translates
into greater compatibility with evolving IP-based trunked radio
networks and the use of encryption, which is critical for secure
radio communications. We’re pleased to bring these enhancements to
the market in support of Verint and Harris users worldwide.”
