UMB Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: UMBF) is pleased to announce that Dana Abraham has joined the company as its new senior vice president of private banking. As the leader of the division, Abraham will be responsible for expanding private banking products and services to all UMB market areas. She will report to Brad Smith, executive vice president of UMB consumer services. Abraham comes to UMB with 19 years of private banking experience and most recently was senior vice president of premier banking and investments at Bank of America. There she managed 16 private banking managers focused on the affluent market segment in Kansas City, Iowa and Kansas. "Dana has extensive private banking and leadership experience that will help advance and strengthen our service to a market that demands a private, dedicated banking relationship," said Smith. "Private banking is really the core of how we approach our customer-centric philosophy at UMB, and we will continue to be a leader in providing high-level service and commitment to the private banking market segment." Abraham will work from UMB headquarters in downtown Kansas City beginning November 1, 2005. Abraham has been an active volunteer in the Kansas City community and currently is a member of the Blue Valley Educational Foundation Board of Directors, Blue Valley BEST Committee, and the Johnson County Economic Research Institute Board of Directors. Abraham holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana -- Monroe.
